Slab Leaks

Water Leaks in a home are a big cause for concern, especially if they’re invisible or go undetected for a long period of time.  Often, you won’t notice you have a water leak behind your wall or under your floor until it has already caused major water damage to your home. A slab leak is the term plumbers use to refer to a water leak under the floor.  These leaks are usually located under a slab of concrete such as a home’s foundation, a sidewalk or a patio.   Fixing a Slab Leak Slab leaks can be hard to detect, locate and repair. The location and severity of the slab leak could help determine the appropriate method of repair. A good temporary solution is to reroute the water pipes. This method will save you from having to dig into the slab; however, it does not provide a permanent fix.  For a more long-lasting solution, a plumber may recommend to fix the root of the problem. This would involve digging into the slab or making several small holes in the slab that allow access to the pipes.
