Slab leaks can be hard to detect, locate and repair. The location and severity of the slab leak could help determine the appropriate method of repair.
A good temporary solution is to reroute the water pipes. This method will save you from having to dig into the slab; however, it does not provide a permanent fix. For a more long-lasting solution, a plumber may recommend to fix the root of the problem. This would involve digging into the slab or making several small holes in the slab that allow access to the pipes.
